Hall of Famer Wade Boggs turns 53 today.

Also celebrating today, Brett Butler, who turns 54.

He published Field of Hope: An Inspiring Autobiography of a Lifetime of Overcoming Odds, which discusses his battle against throat cancer (he became an outspoken critic of the dangers of smokeless tobacco) and his strong Christian faith,  in 1997.

This Youtube piece is a bit over-the-top, but a nicet tribute nonetheless.

And Hall of Famer Billy Williams turns 73. His book — Billy Williams: My Sweet-Swinging Lifetime With the Cubs, was released in 2008.
