Cinematic birthday greetings: Ken Berry

May 10, 2011 · 1 comment

Not the Ken Berry of F Troop fame, but Ken Berry the outfielder for the White Sox, Angels, Brewers, and Indians, who turns 70 today.

The defensive standout (two Gold Gloves) served as a technical adviser for the movie version of Eight Men Out and even had a speaking part. He’s the loudmouth in the stands who heckles Shoeless Joe Jackson, played by D.B. Sweeney, about his literary accomplishments.

Berry appears at just about the one minute mark. (Warning: naughty word right at the end.)

Dennis,

By any chance do you know the name of the school? Be interesting to chat with him about his EMO experiences.
