* Must-have of the day: BaseballLibrary.com newsletter

June 25, 2008

Having received Mike Shropshire’s latest book about the abysmal early years of the Texas Rangers, I am reminded how I’ve always wondered how the print media covers teams that don’t play in the drama capitals of New York, Boston, Chicago, or Los Angeles. What can you say about the Royals or the Pirates or Orioles over the past few years?

BaseballLibrary.com offers a free e-mailed newsletter that features links to coverage in daily newspapers as well as magazines and other outlets such as MLB.com. It also celebrates players birthdays and debuts and lments deaths and final games, as well as other items of historical note. Always informative and effortless to read, sort of one-stop shopping, rather than trying to find various stories on your own.
