The 2008 seasons marks the beginning of the end for Yankee Stadium.

The Bronx Bombers have always been fodder for baseball lit, but this watershed event opens a new sub-genre. A quick search on Amazon.com shows several titles devoted specifically to such nostalgic content, including

One can also expect re-issues of previous books on the stadium. Some of these celebrated the 75th anniversary of the landmark in 1998. Fans also should bear in mind that not every event that took place on that hallowed field involved the baseball team. The New York football Giants also hosted games there and other events took place in the Bronx ballpark as well, which are reflected within these pages.
